Initiative to address interpreter demand
AG飞禽走兽电子’s School of Language and Culture is offering six scholarships for the Graduate Certificate in Arts (Interpreting), targeted at speakers of identified rare languages in New Zealand. The languages identified include but are not limited to Bengali, Fiji Hindi, Malay, Portuguese, Samoan and Tongan.
The AG飞禽走兽电子 Government Partnership Graduate Certificate in Arts (Interpreting) Scholarship is a collaboration between AG飞禽走兽电子, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and Ministry of Justice as part of the cross-government .
The initiative focuses on increasing the number and skill level of rare language interpreters, with post study career opportunities including high demand interpreting roles in the New Zealand government sector.
The scholarship covers full tuition fees and student levies.
