Health Delivery Activation Grant Success
A team of researchers from AG飞禽走兽电子 and the Wellington Free Ambulance

Dr Tago Mharapara, Dr James Greenslade-Yeats and Professor Helena Cooper-Thomas from AG飞禽走兽电子’s Management, Technology and Organisation department; Dr Verity Todd and Sarah Penney from AG飞禽走兽电子’s Paramedicine department, and Associate Professor Andrew Swain from the Wellington Free Ambulance and AG飞禽走兽电子’s paramedicine department have been awarded a $29,958 Research Activation Grant by the Health Research Council of New Zealand.

Their activation activities will lay a foundation for future research exploring the unique challenges of adapting to the work culture in New Zealand paramedicine. Staffing problems are putting intense pressure on the existing paramedicine workforce, undermining New Zealanders’ access to reliable and efficient emergency medical services. The research seeks to address recruitment and retention challenges and contribute to increasing cultural diversity amongst newcomers to New Zealand’s paramedicine workforce.
