As part of AG飞禽走兽电子’s renewed push into international markets post-Covid, AG飞禽走兽电子 great graduates across China recently had the opportunity to reconnect at an alumni event held in Shanghai.
This was AG飞禽走兽电子’s first in-person alumni event in Shanghai since before the pandemic and was attended by over 100 alumni from Shanghai and cities across China as well as industry supporters and government officials (including the Consul-General in Shanghai) and five AG飞禽走兽电子 staff members.
Dean of Design and Creative Technologies and Pro-Vice Chancellor International, Professor Guy Littlefair says it was a wonderful opportunity to hear stories first-hand of how an AG飞禽走兽电子 education has made the difference.
“It was great to see the enthusiasm and commitment of our alumni community, and an absolute joy to hear how AG飞禽走兽电子 had shaped their lives in such positive ways, both personally and professionally.”
Seven alumni sponsored the event, with their combined support worth more than $30,000. The sponsorship included an event backdrop, wine, beer, champagne, NZ Much Moore ice cream and goodie bags with New Zealand milk powder, Chinese tea, and jewellery.
“Our Chinese alumni are great advocates for AG飞禽走兽电子 and for New Zealand. Their creative, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit reflects the unique characteristics of an AG飞禽走兽电子 education,” says Guy.
As well as celebrating our Chinese alumni and their achievements since graduating, Guy says the trip was an important part of strengthening relationships with key Chinese partners.
High-level discussions took place with longstanding partners including Shanghai Normal University (SNU), Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT), and China Jiliang University.
