P?tisserie showcase impresses

Macaroons, mousse, meringues and more were on show at the highly anticipated showcases for first and second year p?tisserie students.

AG飞禽走兽电子's Piko restaurant's blacked out windows gave away no clues as to what lay beyond and the efforts students had been to in order to showcase a year's worth of learnings.

Once a year families and AG飞禽走兽电子 staff are invited to view and eventually taste students p?tisserie work at Piko restaurant.

The photos below are from the first year students wedding themed showcase and also from second year students who had the trickier task of producing a buffet presentation consisting of seven components. These particular items had to relate to a theme each student had chosen for their presentation.

  • AG飞禽走兽电子 also hosted the final competition event for the annual Fonterra Proud to be a Chef competition
  • Students also helped prepare and serve food at the Cuisine Restaurant of the Year Awards
  • In the last part of this year culinary arts students also volunteerd at Taste of Auckland for the DineAid kitchen and some of Auckland's best restaurants for work experienc
