What students say about attending career expos

“I was a bit nervous about attending because I’m a first-year student but I was keen to get an insight into what tourism could offer, especially from a travel aspect.

I spoke to a number of employers including Air NZ, Tataki, Ecozip and Sky City. I definitely gained a lot of good insights into the industry so it really was worth going and seeing the opportunities out there.”

Erikah Taukeiaho
First-year global tourism and international business student

“I went to the business career expo so I wanted to go to this one too, especially when I saw the great employers that were coming.

I’m not exactly sure what I want to do, so it was great having such a variety of employers to chat to about the different roles in their organisations like marketing, comms, events etc.”

Sophia Ernst
Conjoint event management and economics student
